Xi'an's Right for 2003 Women's World Soccer Cup Undecided Yet

The preparation of 2003 Women's World Soccer Cup has stepped into a new phase. Three officials headed by CFA Vice-Chairman Zhang Jilong left Beijing for Switzerland May 15 to attend the second preparatory work conference of FIFA.

As reported, CFA has decided three host cities---Shanghai, Chengdu and Wuhan-for this event, but the fourth city, Xi'an, remained undecided yet.

In line with the requirement of FIFA at the first work conference, China should have determined the four host cities before the second meeting comes. However, the second venue of Xi'an failed to be accepted through check by CFA. Its qualification will not be granted unless the Xi'an city government promises to reconstruct the said venue.
