China Merchants Bank Provides Capital Transfer Service

China Merchants Bank on May 16 launched a new service system, which makes funds transfer between enterprises much easier.

Reporters saw from a spot demonstration that capital transfer from China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) to Ingram Micro (Shanghai) Ltd. was quite easy and instant by this system.

Sources say that after the system was launched, the whole process of account transfer can be finished in a few minutes, which largely reduced cost, improved efficiency, and guaranteed the safety of funds. It can be called an epoch-making revolution of China's banking system having the intermediary function.

Previously, capital transfer between enterprises or work units had to take scores of hours through banks, which not only occupies customers' capital, but also adversely affects the efficient operation of enterprises' business, thus leading to the distrust between the two sides.

The service is now available at the bank and its branches. Any enterprise can open an account and can thereby enjoy the service in office.
