North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, hit by a severe blizzard four months ago, is expected to have a good harvest in stockbreeding this year.
The latest information from the local government shows that livestock have given birth to about 15.97 million offsprings this year, approximately half a million more than last year. The survival rate is 94.9 percent, up 0.3 percentage points from last year.
Inner Mongolia, the country's largest grazing region, lost more than one million cattle in the blizzard.
The government of the autonomous region has poured 1.09 billion yuan (about 131 million U.S. dollars) into blizzard relief efforts.
