Structural changes will take place and new appointments will be made in the Russian government in late May, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov told a press conference in Moscow on Monday.

The reshuffle will came following analysis of the cabinet's one- year work since it was formed in May 2000.

The premier said he is currently holding intensive consultations with President Vladimir Putin, and the consultations are to be completed shortly.
