No Recommendations to President Wahid From "Team of Seven Ministers"

There was no fixed deadline set for the "team of seven ministers" to issue recommendations to President Abdurrahman Wahid to reply to the House of Representatives' second censure, an Indonesian minister said.

Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Indonesian coordinating minister for Political Affairs, Welfare and Security, was correcting an earlier statement made by Defense Minister Mahfud MD that the team would submit the recommendations to the embattled president before his departure to Thailand on Monday.

"There is no fixed deadline set for the team to submit recommendations to the president since we are in constant contact with each other and we are intensively communicating about all the related issues," Susilo told SCTV at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta on Monday after escorting the president to his flight to Bangkok.

"The team was asked by the president to give proper recommendations to deal with the country's current political problems in response to the second censure. So we are working on this thoroughly together," he said.

The seven ministers on the team are Susilo, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Rizal Ramli, Minister of Justice and Human Rights Baharuddin Lopa, Defense Minister Mahfud MD, Minister of Home Affairs and Regional Autonomy Surjadi Sudirdja, Attorney General Marzuki Darusman and Foreign Minister Alwi Shihab.
