Chinese Premier Concludes Pakistan Visit

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji concluded his four-day official visit to Pakistan and left Lahore on Monday morning for Kathmandu.

A farewell ceremony was held at the Lahore International Airport for Chinese Premier Zhu and his wife Lao An. Pakistani Chief Executive Pervez Musharraf and his wife, Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar, Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz, Governor of Punjab Mohammad Safdar and other high-ranking government officials were present on the occasion.

During his stay in Pakistan since last Friday, Zhu met Pakistani President Rafiq Tarar and Chief Executive Pervez Musharraf separately and held effective talks on a vast range of issues to further strengthen bilateral ties.

Pakistan is the first stop of Zhu's five-nation Asia tour. He will continue to visit Nepal, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
