Israeli Army Breaks Into Rafah, Destroying 2 Palestinian Houses
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intruded into Rafah border crossing between Egypt and southern Gaza Strip Sunday afternoon and destroyed two Palestinian houses, according to Palestinian security sources.
The IDF, backed by tanks, penetrated 150 meters into Assalam district of the Palestinian self-rule area of Rafah, the sources added.
The Israeli tanks launched a number of shells and fired machineguns of 500-800 millimeters calibre on Palestinian civilians and houses as well as on the Brazil refugee camp, causing serious damage in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers destroyed two houses at Assalam district. No casualties were reported.
