Senior Official Stresses Publicity Work on CPC's 80th Anniversary
A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Sunday called on CPC publicity officials at all levels to spare no efforts to promote publicity work for the celebration activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the CPC's founding, which falls on July 1.
Ding Guangen, a member of the Political Bureau and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the call at a meeting with the officials May 10-12 here.
The commemoration activities should give comprehensive publicity to the CPC's splendid history, fine work style and good tradition, as well as the ideals and ethics of patriotism, collectivism and socialism.
The publicity work should help strengthen the people's trust in the Party and government, and reinforce their confidence in China's reform, opening up and modernization drive.
Ding said the CPC has lead the Chinese people to end the state of disunity and totally changed the Chinese nation's fate for the better.
The commemoration activities must focus on the grassroots level, and attract the broad masses of the people, he noted, adding that efforts must be made to prevent extravagance and waste.
