opera performers that have recently won various prizes in a national contest gathered together in Beijing and performed opera pieces in the hall of CCTV in Friday night.
Li Ruihuan
, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, attended the party and watched their performance.
The national young Beijing opera performers' contest was started last December and ended earlier this week.
