Vice CPPCC Chairman Meets Overseas Guests
Vice Chairman of the Chinese People 's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Zhaoguo on Friday met with a group of guests from Hong Kong, Macao and overseas industrial and commercial circles in Beijing.
The guests are here participating in the on-going Fourth Beijing High-Tech International Week.
Wang, also head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, showed welcome and appreciation to the guests and informed them of the latest social and economic improvements in China.
He noted that during the Tenth-Five-Year-Plan period (2001-05), more importance and priority will be given to the development of science, technology and education. This will create even more opportunities for people working in industrial and commercial areas.
