New Sino-Japanese Brewing Factory Set Up

Construction work on a new Sino- Japanese brewing company was officially completed Friday, making the competition in China's beer market even more drastic.

The new company, named Suntory Brewing (Kunshan) Co. Ltd., and with the total investment of US$100 million, is described as being equipped with internationally advanced facilities and will use exported unique barm and deep ground natural mineral water as raw materials.

It has 330 staff members and will be able to produce 200,000 tons of beer a year.

The new company was jointly set up by Japan's Suntory Co. Ltd. and the Kunshan Economic and Technology Redevelopment Zone in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province.
