2001 China Commercial Expo Opens in Fuzhou

The 2001 China Commercial Exposition opened Friday in Fuzhou, capital of east China's Fujian Province.

The exposition, covering over 15,000 square meters of floor space, will exhibit thousands of products of 500 enterprises from a dozen provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Fujian.

The exhibitors include 114 brand-famous firms with a history over one hundred years.

An official with the organizing committee of the exposition said that the exposition features both high-tech products and traditional Chinese commodities.

A number of exhibitions and seminars on building materials, hotel equipment and technology, and chain stores will be hosted during the exposition, which is sponsored by China Federation of Commerce, the Fujian provincial economic and trade committee and the city government of Fuzhou.
