Sichuan Develops World's first Manned Superconducting Magnetic Suspension Vehicle
The Southwest China Jiaotong University has developed the world's first manned superconducting magnetic suspension vehicle in this capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.

Scientists used domestically produced high-temperature and superconducting materials to make the vehicle with a carrying capacity of 530 kilograms. The vehicle has a net suspension height of 20 mm above the rail. It can carry five persons and run at the highest speed of 300 kilometers per hour.
