14 Killed in Minibus Overturn in NW China

Fourteen people were killed and 17 others injured Friday morning after a minibus overturned and plunged into a 40-meter-deep valley in Ankang City in Shaanxi Province.

Local authorities said the 19-seat vehicle, which was traveling from Xunyang County to Ankang, was overloaded with 31 persons when it lost control on a mountainous road and slid into the valley.

The local government is carrying out around-the-clock rescue work. All the injured have been sent to hospital.
