China, US to Further Promote Brand-Name Products

Chinese and US advertising agencies should expand cooperation to promote more brand-name products, said State Councilor Wu Yi in a meeting Friday with Shelly Lazarus, president and chief executive of Ogilvy & Mather International Inc..

Lazarus briefed Wu on her company's cooperation with Chinese enterprises in the advertising sector. Wu hoped that Ogilvy & Mather introduce its advanced management expertise to its Chinese colleagues and help them establish world famous brands.

Ogilvy & Mather is one of the world's leading companies in advertising and marketing communications sectors. In 1993, a joint venture was established between Ogilvy & Mather and China's number one state-owned advertising company, the Shanghai Advertising Co..
