Chinese, French Lawmakers on Agricultural CooperationChina is restructuring its agriculture and France has advanced technologies and experience in agriculture, which provides more opportunities for cooperation between China and France in this respect, said a senior Chinese lawmaker here Friday in a meeting with a French congress leader.Jiang Chunyun, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), made the remarks while meeting a French delegation headed by Josselin de Rohan, senatorial group president of the Rally for the Republic, a party holds majority seats in French Senate. During the meeting, Jiang extended his appreciation for the substantial cooperation in agriculture, agricultural product processing, animal husbandry and education between Bretagne of France and east China's Shandong Province. Josselin, who is also local congress president of Bretagne, said that there exists great potential for between Bretagne and Shandong Province on a wide range of fields, oceanographic research, seed breeding and fishery in particular. The French guests are in China as guests of the Shandong provincial government. The Rally for the Republic was originally founded by former French President Charles de Gaulle in 1947.
