Number of Online Securities Traders Tops 2.3m
Online securities entrustment transaction business has been developing robustly since the beginning of this year.
Currently, the number of customers having opened online securities entrustment business has exceeded 2.332 million. In the first quarter, the transaction volume of online entrustment business has reached 7.187 million, accounting for 3.41 percent of the total stock and fund transaction volume of the two stock exchanges.
According to the statistics of the Information Center of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), by the end of March this year, China has had 104 securities firms, 71 of which have officially opened online transaction business. 23 securities firms have been approved by CSRC to engage in online securities business. Another 10 has just got the qualification for the business.
