Thai PM Declares His First Hong Kong Visit Success
Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has returned to Bangkok, declaring his first official visit to Hong Kong a success, the Thai News Agency reported Thursday.
Thaksin made the statement upon his arrival at the Don Muang Airport this afternoon.
Thaksin said that his three-day official visit to Hong Kong and his keynote speech at the 2001 FORTUNE Global Forum were considered successful in clearing skeptical and misunderstanding points over his administration's policies among international investors.
Misunderstanding over the new Thai government's policies and stance was apparently cleared during the three-day visit to Hong Kong, he added.
