US Firm to Build Broad Band Cable Network in E. China City
A solely US-funded firm will build a broad band cable network in Yantai, a coastal city in east China 's Shandong Province.
According to sources from the AMK (China) Satellite Cable Networks Enterprises Co., when the system goes into operation, customers will need only to pay 10 to 12 yuan per month to enjoy quality Internet services round the clock.
The company, incorporated in Yantai with an investment of 29.9 million US dollars from its parent firm, the American Broad Bank Cable & Satellite Communications Corporation, was launched recently at the port city's Fushan Hi-Tech Industrial Zone.
It will mainly be engaged in investment in information technology, system integration, production of broad band network hardware, software development and e-commerce.
