HK Chinese Enterprises Association Marks 10th Anniversary
The Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association (HKCEA) held a reception here Thursday to mark the 10th anniversary of the association.

Some 1,000 representatives from the HKCEA member companies, central people's government institutions in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong SAR government and foreign consulates attended the reception.

Liu Jinbao, chairman of the HKCEA, said that the Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong have experienced great changes with Hong Kong in the past decade, overcoming hardships and enjoying brilliance together.

He expressed thanks to the people from all walks of life for their support of the Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong.

Liu said the HKCEA has become one of six major business organizations in Hong Kong, with over 1,000 member companies and 16 professional committees, adding that the Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong are sure to have broader space for expansion in the new century.

He pledged the HKCEA and its members will continue to adhere to the principle of making Hong Kong prosperous and serving the community, and devoted themselves to Hong Kong and the motherland.

Those who attended the reception were Tung Chee Hwa, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Jiang Enzhu, director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR; and Ji Peiding, commissioner of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong SAR.
