An interprovincial trade fair, which aims to promote economic development and investment between northeast China's Liaoning Province and the east China provinces of Jiangxi, Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangsu, opened Wednesday in Nanchang.
More than 2,000 officials and entrepreneurs from Liaoning have brought local products and cooperation projects to the fair. They will also launch a series of investment and trade activities during the fair in this capital city of Jiangxi.
Contracts worth a total value of 15 billion yuan are expected to be signed, according to a Liaoning official.
To promote economic and trade exchanges with other parts of China, Liaoning, one of the country's major industrial bases, will host another two trade fairs in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and central China's Hubei Province before the end of this year.
