Austrian President to Visit China

Austrian President Thomas Klestil will visit China from May 15 to 19 at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi made the announcement Tuesday.

During the visit, the leaders of the two countries will exchange views on bilateral ties and international issues of common interest, Sun said.

According to Sun, President Klestil will also attend the celebrations making the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Austrian diplomatic relations.
