A 226-year-old mummified man was recently discovered in Lufeng County of southwest China's Yunnan Province.
According to the epigraph on the gravestone, the deceased, named Hua Zong, died in 1775.
The mummy is 165 centimeters tall. His facial features are still well preserved with a pigtail at the back side of his head. The fingernails can be seen clearly.
An official with the local cultural center said when he first saw the mummy, he can still saw a luster on the mummy's skin, which has become dark now. The cultural center has taken steps to protect and preserve the mummy.
