Olympic Champs Lift Men's Doubles Title


Wang Liqin/Yan Sen Win Men's Doubles
Sydney Olympic champions Wang Liqin and Yan Sen trounced fellow Chinese and Atlanta Olympic gold medalists Kong Linghui and Liu Guoliang in a lopsided men's doubles final at the World Table Tennis Championships on Saturday.

In a repeat of the 2000 Olympic final, Wang/Yan beat Kong/Liu 21-11, 21-12, 21-18.

Third place was shared by Chiang Peng-Lung/Chang Yun-Shu of Chinese Taipei and Kim Taek Soo/Oh Sang Eun from South Korea.

Wang Liqin and Kong Linghui, ranked first and second in the world, will fight for the men's singles crown on Sunday.
