Liu Guozheng Beats Schlager to Join Top Eight
Chinese world number five Liu Guozheng beat
Austria
n Werner Schlager 3-1 in the men's singles fourth round of the World Table Tennis Championships on Friday.
Liu had the 10th-ranked Austrian on the rope by his strength of shot and quickness about court, winning 22-20, 20-22, 21-17, 21-10.
Liu will fight with fellow Chinese Ma Lin for a semifinal berth.
