Visiting International Olympic Committee (IOC) Vice President Jacques Rogge on Friday voiced his full satisfaction with the progress of the Athens Olympics preparations.

Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, Rogge praised the progress and efforts by the Athens 2004 Olympic Organizing Committee (ATHOC) one year exactly after the IOC issued Athens' an unprecedented warning for the delay of construction of come Olympics related projects.

"Seeing is believing, and now we believe," Rogge said while answering a question over the completion of a handful of all- important 2004 Games venues.

Rogge rejected the possibility that a canoeing and rowing venue will be moved from the currently projected site at Schinias, some 20 kilometers southeast of Athens.

He also dismissed the recent press claiming that the Olympic Games will be switched from Athens.

Rogge at last stressed the need for a speedy completion of the rest Olympics related projects.

Meanwhile, ATHOC President Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki said that Athens is now gaining speed six months after Rogge stated that Athens was back on track.
