Young People Encouraged to be Bold in Creation


Vice President Inspects Beijing Institute
Hu Jintao, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee extended cordial greetings to young people of all nationalities in China on the occasion of the historically significant May 4th Movement anniversary.

During his visit to the Beijing Nonferrous Metal Research Institute on Friday, he said China's younger generation will shoulder the heavy task of promoting the progress of science and technology.

He urged young scientists and technicians to have a strong sense of responsibility, integrate their lofty ideals with the future of the nation, study hard, be bold in creation and dare to scale the heights of science.

Hu, who is also vice-president of China, called on Party committees and governments at all levels to attach great importance to the training and making use of young scientists and technicians.
