Tanzanian Ruling Party Delegation Concludes Visit to China

Philip Mangula, secretary- general of Tanzania's ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party, Thursday told Chinese reporters that he is impressed by the achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Speaking on his arrival at the Dar es Salaam International Airport back from a ten-day visit to China, the CCM leader said that his delegation toured both China's modern cities and underdeveloped rural areas to see various projects geared at poverty eradication.

"The CPC is doing well over the economic reforms. We have been really impressed. It is really good. The party is doing well in its work of transformation," said Mangula.

He added that the CCM has "learned a lot" from their Chinese counterparts on opening-up, attracting investment and rural reforms.

While in China, the five-man delegation of senior CCM leaders visited big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, as well as villages in the southern Guizhou and Jiangxi provinces.
