A landslide buried a nine-story residential building in southwestern China, killing at least 25 people.
By 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, rescuers with special detection equipment had unearthed 25 bodies from the site of the landslide that took place in the seat of Wulong County, in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Only seven people out of 25 families in the building were known to have escaped the disaster, said local sources.
Hundreds of police, soldiers and rescue workers were still digging through debris to search for those trapped inside.
