Angolan Ruling Party Urges Improvement of Workers' LifeAngola's ruling party, the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), has recommended the Angolan government to continue with the measures to improve the living conditions of the workers, reported here on Tuesday the country's official news agency Angop.In celebration of the International Labor Day, a document issued by the MPLA's political bureau said that the ruling party has urged the government to make efforts to reduce poverty, curb inflation and elevate the purchasing power of the Angolan workers. The MPLA said that the government should continue to promote cooperation with its social partners in finding solutions to the problems faced by the workers. The party also highlighted the success of the implementation of the amnesty law and a fund for peace and national reconciliation, saying that the enemy of peace should be to blame for the destruction of the achievements made by the workers. On the recent floods caused by heavy rains in the west and south parts of the country, the MPLA expressed its concerns over the situation and requested the civil society to give support to the victims in a bid to alleviate their sufferings.
