Zanzibar to Hold International Film Festival
Zanzibar will in July hold the 4th annual Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), which is to be participated by countries along the Indian Ocean coasts, Tanzanian newspapers reported Monday.
A statement by the organizer of the ZIFF said Sunday that the festival celebrates the unique cultural heritage of the so called Dhow countries, countries that border the Indian Ocean in Africa, Arabian Gulf states, nations of the Indian sub-continent and islands on the ocean.
There will be a variety of presentations and other activities between June 29 and July 14 around the historic stone town and other rural centers all over Zanzibar's twin islands of Unguja and Pemba, said the report.
