China's Top 10 Trading Provinces

Following are figures about foreign trade volumes of China's top ten trading provinces and municipalities in the first two months of this year, provided by the General Administration of Customs:

-- Guangdong Province: total, 23.891 billion U.S. dollars, up 5. 9 percent from the same period last year; exports, 12.454 billion U.S. dollars, down 0.3 percent; imports, 11.438 billion U.S. dollars, up 13.5 percent.

-- Shanghai Municipality: total, 8.156 billion U.S. dollars, up 13.3 percent; exports, 3.843 billion U.S. dollars, up 26.5 percent; imports, 4.314 billion U.S. dollars, up 3.6 percent.

-- Jiangsu Province: total, 7.706 billion U.S. dollars, up 33.5 percent; exports, 4.175 billion U.S. dollars, up 42.2 percent; imports, 3.531 billion U.S. dollars, up 24.5 percent.

-- Zhejiang Province: total, 5.047 billion U.S. dollars, up 23. 3 percent; exports, 2.964 billion U.S. dollars, up 15.6 percent; imports, 2.083 billion U.S. dollars, up 36.2 percent.

-- Shandong Province: total, 4.408 billion U.S. dollars, up 36. 8 percent; exports, 2.504 billion U.S. dollars, up 36.6 percent; imports, 1.903 billion U.S. dollars, up 37.1 percent.

-- Beijing Municipality: total, 4.042 billion U.S. dollars, up 30.1 percent; exports, 1.219 billion U.S. dollars, up 34.7 percent; imports, 2.823 billion U.S. dollars, up 28.2 percent.

-- Fujian Province: total, 3.332 billion U.S. dollars, up 13.6 percent; exports, 2.022 billion U.S. dollars, up 15.7 percent; imports, 1.311 billion U.S. dollars, up 10.5 percent.

-- Liaoning Province: total, 2.834 billion U.S. dollars, up 15 percent; exports, 1.477 billion U.S. dollars, up 17.8 percent; imports, 1.357 billion U.S. dollars, up 12.1 percent.

-- Tianjin Municipality: total, 2.989 billion U.S. dollars, up 20.9 percent; exports, 1.551 billion U.S. dollars, up 25.4 percent; imports, 1.438 billion U.S. dollars, up 16.4 percent.

-- Hebei Province: total, 778.960 million U.S. dollars, up 6.1 percent; exports, 461.147 million U.S. dollars, up 4.8 percent; imports, 317.814 million U.S. dollars, up 7.9 percent.
