China's Monthly Foreign Trade in 2001

Following are figures about China's monthly foreign trade in 2001, provided by the General Administration of Customs:

January: total, 32.486 billion U.S. dollars, up 1.4 percent from the same month last year; exports, 16.940 billion U.S. dollars, up 1 percent; imports, 15.546 billion U.S. dollars, up 1. 9 percent.

February: total, 37.424 billion U.S. dollars, up 32.7 percent from the same month last year; exports, 19.199 billion U.S. dollars, up 29.9 percent; imports, 18.226 billion U.S. dollars, up 35.7 percent.
