Expressway to Yellow Emperor Mausoleum Open to Traffic
Expressway to Yellow Emperor Mausoleum Open to Traffic
A new expressway was opened to traffic Sunday in northwest China's
Shaanxi
Province, collecting the provincial capital of Xi'an to the mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, a legendary ancestor of the Chinese nation.
The 93.85-kilometer-long expressway runs through the hilly northern part of the province, and will greatly improve the transport conditions in this poverty-stricken area.
The Yellow Emperor has drawn deep worship from Chinese both at home and abroad. His mausoleum is a renowned tourist attraction worldwide.
