The Israel Ballet will stage performances Saturday and Sunday in Beijing, at the start of their second tour of China.
Invited by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, the world-renowned troupe first visited China in 1997, and performed in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu. That very successful tour with their repertoire of "Cinderella" captivated many Chinese dance fans' hearts.
As part of the "Meeting in Beijing Art Festival" hosted by the Ministry of Culture, they will present "Ecstasy," "Dvorak Variations," "Gurrelieder" and some modern pieces, including " Symphony in C," "Tangoneon" and "Bach Plus."
Afterward, the Israel Ballet will continue its China tour in Kunming, Shanghai, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu.
