HK Delegation Visits Taiwan for Exchanges
A delegation comprised of representatives from
Hong Kong
's central-west district arrived in
Taiwan
Saturday for grassroots exchanges with their counterparts in Peitou district, northern Taiwan, Taiwan's local media said.
The group is scheduled to pay a call on Taipei Mayor Ma Ying- jeou and visit the Taipei City Council, where they will be briefed on the city's garbage fees system and collection operations as well as the fingerprinting identification system used in the city' s household administration offices.
Hong Kong's central-west district and Taiwan's Peitou district established sisterhood ties and signed an exchange memorandum when Ma visited Hong Kong in February this year.
The Hong Kong delegation is also scheduled to tour some of Peitou's sites of interests.
