Lee Teng-hui's Japan Trip Exposes His Separatist Nature

Lee Teng-hui has fully exposed his nature as a separatist on his ongoing visit in Japan, which he made under the pretext of receiving medical treatment, says a signed commentary from Xinhua News Agency Friday.

During his "medical trip", Lee did not look like a patient, instead, he viewed cherry blossoms, ate sushi, drank foreign wine, climbed up high towers, talked freely about his "Japanese feelings ", held dinner parties and talks with Japanese rightists, and even waved to separatists from Taiwan, who shouted pro-independence slogans, the Xinhua commentary says.

What he did in Japan exposed completely his evil attempts to woo foreign forces for "independence", support "Taiwan independence" elements, and seek backing from Japanese rightists for Taiwan separatism.

Lee has always been a pioneer for "Taiwan independence", whether in power or not. His Japan tour is aimed at making use of overseas anti-China force to make trouble, encourage overseas " Taiwan independence" elements and extend his own political life, the commentary notes.

Lee is known for his "special feelings" for Japan, as he himself put it that he "was a Japanese before the age of 22." He is also called the "guardian of the Japanese legacy" on Taiwan, it says.

The Xinhua commentary says that Japanese rightists and "Taiwan independence" elements in Japan advocated Lee's trip, calling his tour an "ice-breaking" one which "increased the transparency of Taiwan", "was a turning point for the development of Taiwan-Japan ties" and "achieved as many results as a diplomatic trip".

But all of Lee's separatist deeds are doomed to failure, as the One-China Principle has been accepted by the international community, the commentary stresses. Lee will inevitably end up as the scum of the society, it states.
