HK To Host Innovation ExpoThe Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government will organize an Innovation Expo from November 22 to 26 to showcase Hong Kong's achievement in innovation and technology and enhance public awareness on the importance of innovation, an official said Saturday.Tony Lam, Assistant Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, said the expo, Hong Kong's premier showcase on innovation and technology, "aims to demonstrate Hong Kong's technology capabilities through display of technological achievements of local businesses, industries, academia and industry support organizations." Under the theme "Today's Technology and Tomorrow's World", the Expo is expected to attract over 120,000 visitors, including businesspeople, industrialists, venture capitalists, the academia and the general public. According to Lam, the expo will comprise three thematic pavilions to showcase the latest innovative technologies from local universities, industry support organizations, business and industries. A series of seminars and workshops will also be held concurrently with the Expo to promote innovation and new technology concepts to various sectors and the general public.
