China to Host First International Eco-Hygiene Conference
The first international eco- hygiene conference will be held here on November 5-8 this year in Nanning, capital of south China's
Guangxi
Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Some 300 experts from both China and abroad will attend the conference and hold discussions on ecological hygiene and sustainable development in the 21st century.
The conference is mainly sponsored by the Jiu San Society, one of China's non-Communist parties, and co-sponsored by the International Cooperation and Development Committee of
Sweden
and the United Nations Children's Fund.
Guangxi has launched a trial project centered on eco-friendly toilets in the countryside.
