Vice-President Hails China Youth Daily Anniversary
China's Vice-President Hu Jintao sent a letter of congratulations Friday to the China Youth Daily, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Beijing.
Hu said that newspaper is an influential organ among Chinese youth, and shoulders the responsibility for enlightening and instructing young people.
He encouraged the newspaper to better reflect the reality of Chinese youth and form its own style in the framework of classical Marxist theorems as well as President Jiang Zemin's instructions on party building.
China Youth Daily was initiated in 1951, and is run by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.
