Shanghai Mayor Meets Malaysian Supreme Head of State
Shanghai Mayor Xu Kuangdi met here Friday with visiting Malaysian supreme head of state Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.
Xu briefed the guests on economic and social development in Shanghai, and expressed his hope to further the bilateral cooperation between Shanghai and Malaysia in economic, cultural and other fields.
Salahuddin said that Malaysia and China have enjoyed a long- lasting friendship, adding that he hoped that his visit would promote cooperation between the two sides.
Salahuddin arrived here from Xi'an this afternoon.
