Intel China Lab Established in Beijing

The Intel China Lab, a unified entity for its research and business development in China, was established in Beijing on April 25.

The Intel China Lab will lay its stress on the research of application and production development, accelerate the development of key technologies for next-generation wireless Internet devices in China and help China to achieve further success in Internet economy. It will also harmonize its research and development items based in China, including its support to the research and development items in Chinese institutes of higher learning.

The Intel China Lab consists of Intel China Research Center, Intel Framework Development Lab, Intel China Software Lab, Wireless Technology Development Center and Internet Exchange Framework.

Pat Gelsing, vice president of Intel's and CEO in technology said at the press conference that Intel's booming development in China marks that China is becoming a key technological resource. And Intel will continue to make great efforts in maintaining its leading status in technology as well as tapping for its market in China.

Present at the Intel's inauguration ceremony were reporters from 27 countries in Asia Pacific Region.
