HK Signs Air Services Agreement with Hungary

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government Thursday signed an air services agreement with the government of the Republic of Hungary, according to a government press release available here.

Sandra Lee, Hong Kong's Secretary for Economic Services, signed the agreement in Hungary on behalf of the SAR government.

Lee said at the signing ceremony that "Hong Kong is committed to progressive liberalization of our air services regime."

"We hope that the provision of a legal basis by the air services agreement with Hungary will encourage the airlines of both sides to expand their services," said Lee.

The air services agreement with Hungary is the 46th air services agreement signed by Hong Kong.

Lee, who is in Hungary for a visit, also met some other Hungarian senior officials to discuss expansion of the bilateral links between the two places.
