China to Intensify Rectification on Government Work Style

China will intensify rectification on government work style this year, focusing on issues of public concern, said Minister of Supervision He Yong, Wednesday.

At the opening of the three-day rectification work conference, He Yong vowed to focus on the unhealthy tendency of high prices in medicine purchasing so as to lessen the burden of rural people in this regard.

He said that a regulated price system should be established in order to prevent the absurd rise of drug prices. An ordered circulation of medicine is asked to ensure the safe drug use.

He noted that punishment of those offenses will be more severe.

He called for further implementation of fee-to-tax reform. Apart from the tax, no other forms of fee should be collected from rural people.

In addition, his ministry will also try to solve the problems of improper fee collections in schools and ban the use of shopping cards offered by companies.
