China Appreciates Decisions of Germany and Holand on Submarines: FM Spokeswoman

China appreciates the stance of Germany and Holand not to approve any application for making submarines for Taiwan, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Thursday.

Germany and Holand have expressed their stance that they will not sell weapons to Taiwan, nor will they approve any application for making submarines for Taiwan, Zhang said.

The spokeswoman said that currently the political and economic relationship of cooperation between China and Germany and that between China and Holland have witnessed smooth development and have promising prospects.

The stance by the two countries will undoubtedly lay a profound foundation for the progress of bilateral ties, Zhang noted.
