Spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Thursday.
At a regular press conference here Thursday, Zhang said that Lee Teng-hui is the top representative of "
Taiwan
independence" forces and his visit to Japan itself is a serious political issue.
The Japanese government allowing Lee to visit Japan has damaged the political foundation for Sino-Japan relations, the spokeswoman stressed.
