Hong Kong's Competitiveness Ranks Sixth Place in the World

Sources from Hong Kong say that in this year's index of international competitiveness announced by the International Institute for Management and Development (IMD), China's Hong Kong has risen to the world sixth from the twelfth of last year.

According to this annual report, Hong Kong shows the highest increase of 10.5 percent in GDP among all 49 countries and regions. It has made great improvements on many aspects, especially on economy, which has increased sharply to the world fourth from last year's 25th. And Hong Kong's commercial efficiency, including such factors as productivity, labor market, economic market, management manner and what not, was also raised to the world 8th from the 13th of last year.
