HK Government Announces Senior Appointments

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government announced Wednesday the appointment of two senior government officials.

Alan Wong Chi-kong will take up the post of Director of Information Technology Services on July 3, replacing the current Director LAU Kam-hung who will retire from the civil service with effect from April 26, 2001.

Kim Anthony Salkeld, Deputy Secretary for the Environment and Food of the HKSAR, will take up the post of Land Registrar with effect from May 28, 2001. The post was vacated by Tony Cooper, who proceeded on pre-retirement leave on March 30, 2001.
