China's World Top Trio Demolish Germany

China's world top three demolished Germany to sail into the women's team quarter-finals of the World Table Tennis Championships Wednesday in Osaka.

German coach Richard Prause spurred his players on Tuesday after they beat the United States 3-0 in the first round of the knockout stage, saying China could be beaten.

China turned out invincible as world number three Zhang Yining wrapped up a 3-0 victory, beating Jie Schoepp 21-13, 21-14.

World number two Li Ju earlier downed German Nicole Struse 21- 17, 22-20 and world number one Wang Nan, dual Olympic champion, followed up with a 21-14, 21-10 victory over Elke Schall.
