Chinese Defense Minister Meets Czech Counterpart

Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian said Monday that China has sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the US should bear the whole responsibility for the recent collision between a Chinese and a US plane.

Chi, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and a state councilor, told visiting Czech Defense Minister Vladimir Vetchy that the US should face reality, bear all responsibility and make a convincing account to the Chinese people.

The US should also stop sending its spy planes to waters off the Chinese coast, and take earnest measures to avoid similar incidents, he added.

Chi said that Vetchy is the first Czech defense minister to visit China since the Czech Republic became independent, and his visit will contribute to the friendly relations between the two armed forces.

Vetchy said that China is an important partner of the Czech Republic, and Czech attaches importance to developing relations with China in all fields, and is ready to promote cooperation with China and its armed forces.

He said that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and the Czech Republic will continue to adhere to the One-China policy.
